After 13 years in NYC and 14 years on Kapoho Bay on the eastern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii, this Cleveland born artist has now made Matthews, NC his new home.  Having rebounded from the loss of his Kapoho home and studio in June, 2018 to a lava flow, he’s created a new art laden haven in Matthews to refuel his artistic endeavors, until a return to Hawaii manifests.

With experience in fashion design, textiles, interiors, and stone sculpture, and a feeling for beauty in every form, he concentrates on jewelry design to exhaust his creative inspirations.  This self-taught jewelry artist takes his inspiration directly from the bounty of mother nature’s mineral treasures to mix color, form, and scale to create one-of-a-kind jewelry with a subtle flair for timeless meaning and wear. 

His company moniker, “The Jewel Within,” touches on a lifelong ability to recognize and acknowledge the most positive attributes of those he encounters, and a desire for them to see the jewels within themselves.  Attention to detail, fine materials, and exceptional quality craftmanship are the hallmarks of The Jewel Within creations, and have earned him an international clientele.
